Huge demonstrations against Israel's ground offensive in Gaza

Big demonstrations have been taking place at Israel's ground offensive in Gaza.

Thousands took part in rallies in the Washington DC, Toronto, Paris, London, Santiago and Jakarta.

In London, 29 people were arrested for a range of offences including breaching the Terrorism Act, inciting racial hatred, and antisemitic comments.

Israel began bombing Gaza after Hamas killed more than 1,400 people in Israel and kidnapped more than 200 others.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says more than 9,400 people have been killed in the Strip since 7 October.
